오누이 Onui (Closed)

Finally! A Korean restaurant in Batangas City!

Once again, we went to have dinner at Onui (“Brother & Sister” restaurant), located at Sitio Lamao, Libjo, Batangas City.

What sets this place apart from other Asian restaurants is it’s semblance to the actual eateries you would find if you ever visit Korea.

Open the doors and you would feel like you’re being transported to a different place. From the tables, chairs, posters and overall interiors, the place would make you want to book that next flight to Seoul.

The menu is authentically korean. Meaning all the side dishes and main courses are those typically found in Korean restaurants. We ordered an array of dishes – sorry for the limited pictures, we were really hungry that we wolfed down our meals once served. From sanggyupsal, bulgogi, to kimbap and soju, they have everything! including some korean snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) which you can try.

Also, a huge plus points to the servers who really know the menu very well. They can assist you in grilling your meat for the sanggyupsal, and even make suggestions for first time diners who are still new to Korean cuisine. Did we mention the awesome Kpop sounds? Yes they play korean kpop songs which is a really big plus for all you fangirls out there. =) All in all, the place is worth the visit if you’re heading out for a dinner with family, friends or just want to eat and do some fangirling.

UPDATE:  Onui has closed down in mid-2012 unfortunately. (We miss the sanggyupsal and the eggplant side dishes)
